During the first five months of 1928 motor tyres valued at £448,512 were imported into New Zealand. Canada supplied the greatest number, imports of this origin amounting to £238,764, British tyres accounting for £102,766, French makes for £64,047. American £39,932 and Italian, German, Belgian and Australian imports for about £3OOO.
