TRANS-TASMAN FLIGHT.

EXPECTED TO BE MADE ON SEPTEMBER 1. Christchurch, August 9. Lieutenant-Colonel 11. C. Brinsmead, Controller of Civil Aviation in the Commonwealth, has written to Air. P. R. Climie, the Canterbury Progress League’s organiser, in regard to the Tasman flight. Colonel Brinsmead states that information supplied by Air. Climie as to arrangements for the reception at the Wigram Aerodrome had been passed on to Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith and Flight-Lieut-enant Ulm, and that Mr. Climie may expect a farther announcement from them soon. The management committee in Chris!rihurch is making complete arrangements. It is expected now (hat the flight will he -made about September 1.
