ALL BLACKS DEFEAT PRETORIA. BY 13 POINTS TO 6. At Capetown yesterday, the All Blacks defeated Pretoria Districts by 13 points to G. Pretoria scored 3 points in the first spell and 3 in the second. The All Blacks failed to score in the second half. The teams were as follows: — New Zealand. — Full-back: Lindsay; three-quarters: Lucas, Carleton, Grenside; live-eighths: Nieholls, Johnson; half-back: Dailey; forwards: Hore, Swain, M. Brownlie, Alley, C. Brownlie, Ward, M‘Williams. Pretoria Districts. —Full-back: Gush; three-quarters: De Wit, M‘- ' Intyre, Dobie, Liebenberg; halves: Kotze, Chapman; forwards: Van Druten, Kruger, Nykamp, Mortimer, Geere, Glatthaar, Sirachan, Geyser.

BEBBINGTON SHIELD MATCH.
HOROWHENUA DEFEAT BUSH,
Old Bebbington Shield rivals, Horowhenua and Bush, met at Levin Domain yesterday in the last match for that shield this season. Although' weather conditions were perfect for fast, open Rugby, Bush .forwards set out to make the game a forward one, and in this they were successful until after half way through the second half when Horr.whenua commenced throwing the ball about with better results. Horowhenua (the holders) were fully extended by their opponents before they ran winners by 13 points to S.
The first spell ended three all (a try each). In the second half play was more even. Early in the spell Tayh: r (Horowhenua) potted a beautiful goal, then Galvin scored for Bush, Udy converting. A quarter of an hour before the call of time Bush looked like winning, but in an exciting finish Roberts and Warren scored tries for Horowhenua neither of which were converted, the last try being registered as the whistle sounded. ST. PAT’S DEFEAT WELLINGTON COLLEGE. At Wellington yesterday in per- „ fret weather and in the presence of 8000 people, St. Patrick’s College defeated Wiellington College by 10 points to 8 in the annual Rugby mi tch after an exciting game. At half-time the scores were five all. Mexted scored both tries for St. Pat’s and Condon converted both. Gill and Hislop scored for Wellington College, Temoana converting one. iThe fixture has been played yearly since 1885 with only two breaks, 44 matches in all having been contested. Of these two have been drawn and to-day’s result leaves honors easy, with 21 victorious apiece. WAIRARAPA DEFEATS OTAGO. Dunedin, Last Night. Wairaralpa. .defeated Otago today in the last minute of the game by 11 points to 8. For .the visitors tries were scored by Sharp (2) and Le Quesne, Stringfellow converting one. For Otago Nicholson and M'Meeking scored, Stevenson converting one. HOROWHENUA v. MANAWATU. The return rep. games, Manawatu A and B teams v. Horowhenua A and B teams will be played on the Palmerston North Showgrounds on Saturday next. A very interesting and keenly fought game between Old Boys and D.ll.School was played on the racecourse yesterday afternoon resulting in a win for Old Boys by 8 points to-5. Newth and C. Anderson scored for the winners, the latter’s try being converted. Chipper scored for school. During the game Bnrdes was temporarily ' knocked out. Mr. C. Procter controlled the game.
