HEENEY-TUNNEY FIGHT.
TO BE RE-BROADCASTED. Christchurch, Last Night. Mr. A. R. Harris, General Manager of the Radio Broadcasting Co., has received a cable from the company’s representative, in New York, stating that arrangements for putting a short-wave description of the Heeney-Tunney fight on July 2G, on the air have been completed. The wave length has not yet been definitely settled. It is hoped by the Broadcasting Co. that it will be possible to pick up the short-wave description with sufficient strength and clarity to enable it to be put on the air by New Zealand stations. Gisborne, Last Night. The Atwater Kent radio service station, 2ZM, operated by Messrs R. .J. Patty and P. Stevens, Gisborne, advises having received the following message from K.D.K.A., Pittsburg:— “Tell all New Zealand and Australia we. will be broadcasting the Heeney-Tunney fight on 26i meters.”
