DRUNKEN DRIVER FINED £SO.

Auckland, July 2. W. W. Faulder, a dentist of Newton was fined £SO in the Onelumga Police Court to-day for being drunk while in charge of a car on February 20, and. dangerous driving, causing severe injuries to a passenger. Accused subsequently disappeared. Mr. Levien, S.M., described it as a deplorable case, but said that apparently it was not the custom in Auckland to inflict imprisonment.
