VISITING FISHERMEN.
A Nelson fisherman, Mr. Thompson is at present at the beach with his launch having made the trip 'cross the Straits to try fishing along this coast with his seine net. He was unfortunate in losing the net recently while engaged in fishing, but was lucky enough to recover it yesterday from a Levin resident who had found it washed up on the Ilokio bench. Another visitor to (lie Manawatu River is Mr. Mason with his fine 40 Loot launch. Air. Mason is also from the South Island and is on his way to Wanganui.
