TOWiN HALL. If you arc looking for real entertainment mixed with thrills and laughs, do not fail to see the most daring of Western aces, Tom Mix, with his wonder horse, Tony, in “Tumbling River," at the Town Hall on Friday. Tom starts out singlehanded, with Tony, to trace down a gang of notorious cattle rustlers and horse thieves in the West. The desperadoes steal Buster, one of Tom’s favourite bays, and the bosom pal of Tony. With their best friend as the incentive, the cattle thieves little suspect what a dynamo of energy and courage they have to cope with in Tom and Tony. The action is fast and furious, against terrific odds, and the smashing climax comes when cattle rustlers make a play to kidnap the girl. Comedy and News. Usual prices. A great picture of the aerial side of the World War will be the special attraction at the Royal on Saturday next. It is entitled “The Lone Eagle.” The story has to do with a young American youth (Raymond Keane) attached to a veteran unit- of Hie Royal Flying Corps. He overcomes his deadly fear of the horrors of war; falls in love with a charming little French girl (Barbara Kent) and vindicates himself in the eyes of his British comrades. Also, comedy “Keeping in Form,” British News and International Alagazine. Prices, Is and Is 6d, children half-price. Next Wednesday: “The Girl of the Golden West.”
