ALLEGED THREAT TO KILL
ACCUSED REMANDED. Remanded from Christchurch, Norman Ernest Stanley, steward on the Ruahine, appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., at the Palmerston North Magistrate's Court yesterday charged “that on November 2,1927, at Palmerston North, he did cause to he received a letter, knowing the contents thereof, containing a threat to kill his wife, one Ivy May Stanley, of Foxton.” On the application of Detective Russell, who appeared for the police, accused was remanded to appear again on Monday.
