A rara avis in the shape of a young New Zealander who did not ' know” of the existence of the All ‘Blacks has been discovered in Waihi. The young man was asked by a local resident if lie had heard the ‘result of the first game in South Africa and made —for a New Zealander —the somewhat startling admission that he did not know of the existence of the famous com--1 bination, sent out to uphold the Dominion’s splendid football record. On being enlightened on this point the young man dismissed the sub- ' ject by intimating that he was interested in carpentry and had no tme to bother about football.
