The winter meeting of (he Otaki Racing Club was held on Saturday and yesterday. The totalisator handled £40,247, as against £41,- , 378 last winter, a decrease of £1,131. The wins of Paitonu in the Timi Kara Memorial Stakes and of Lady’s Boy (ridden by K. Robinson) in the Taipua Handicap were unexpected, the latter in particular being a rank outsider.
