ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH

ANNUAL MEETING OF CHOIR. The annual meeting of All Saints Choir was held on May 25th. Members present were: Rev. W. B. Walton, Messrs W. Harris, E. Murphy, G. Baird, A. Murphy, Mrs Jackson, Misses Nye, B. Crowe, 0. Yorke, Rita Robinson, Turi Better, Rena Wianvick, Ina Easton, Eunice Lee, Melva Yorke, Jessie Crowe and A. M. Williams (lion, secretary). The annual report and balancesheet were presented, and favourably commented upon. Miss Williams was re-elected secretary, and Misses Jessie Crowe and Melva Yorke were appointed joint librarians. A vote of thanks to the secretary (Miss Williams) and auditor (Mr Jackson) concluded the meeting.

The annual report stated, inter alia, that the year just concluded had been a most successful one from every point of view. It is very satisfactory evidence of the interest taken in this feature of our church work when the membership numbers from 25 to 28. Choir Activities: On Good Friday ‘The Glory of the Cross’ was well rendered, and Easter Day, All Saints Festival, and Christmas Services were all well attended, and made brighter because of the improved choir work. Social evenings were given by various choir members. All these functions proved most successful. Members leaving the district included Mr Taylor, whose fine tenor voice was a splendid asset to our choir, and Master Brian Walton. After a period of eight years membership, Brian’s regular, cheerful and willing service has been much appreciated. Appreci-

alive reference was made to Mr Wilfred Harris for faithful service in connection with the choir, and Mrs Jackson, organist. To the Vicar and Choirmaster members convoy their sense of gratitude and appreciation, of his capable and efficient service, which should act as a stimulus to all lacking in enthusiasm.”
