The Wanganui Jockey Club concluded their Winter Meeting on Saturday in fine weather. The totalisator handled £27,491/10/- for the day against £29,163 for the second day last year. For the meeting £49,795 was put through the machine, which represents a decline of £2693/10/- as compared with last year, when the figures were £52,488/10/-. Results: — Rata Hack Hurdle Handicap. — Hymestrason 1, Mister Gamp 2, Glengariff 3. Won by two lengths. Time 2.50 3-5. Balgownie Hack Handicap. Bisox 1, Avro 2, Gasnapper 3. Time 1.59 4-5. Won by three lengths. 'Century Hurdle Handicap.—Red Fuchsia i, Perle De Leon 2, Pouri 3. Won by a head. Time 4.2 2-5. Grandstand Steeplechase Handicap. —Puwhero 1, Mixed Heather 2, Son O’ Mine 3. Won by one length. Time 5.4. Empire Handicap. —Paitonu 1, Dayguard 2, Bonogne 3. Won by a nose. Time 1.59 2-5. Farewell Hack Flat Handicap.— Kcldar 1, Callanmore 2, diclone 3. Won by two lengths. Time 1.16 4-5. Winter Oats Handicap.—Moa Bird 1, Arrow Lad 2, Silvermine 3. Won by two lengths. Time 1.16 1-5.
