WEDDING

SIMPSON—FRIIS

A pretty wedding was solomnised at the residence of Mr. C. Simpson, Racecourse, Foxton, on the 14th in.st., the contracting parties being Ernest, second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Simpson, Racecourse, Foxton, and Gladys Myrtle, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Friis, Motuiti. The Rev. Mr. Edmondson was the officiating clergyman, The bride, >who was given away by her father was charmingly attired in a creme crepe de-chine frock with gold overlace panels and veil thrown hack over a circlet or orange blossoms. Miss Winnie Simpson, sister of the bridegroom, was in attendance ns bridesmaid, and wore a mauve crepe-de-ehine frock with coffee lace trimmings. Both carried beautiful bouquets of winter flowers. Little Betty Friis, sister of the bride, looked dainty in a frock of creme erepe-de-chine, and acted as flower girl, carrying a basket of pretty winter flowers, Mr Reg. Simpson was in attendance as best man. After the ceremony ' a number of friends and relations were entertained at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Simpson. The happy couple left amid showers of: confetti and good wishes for their future home in North Auckland.
