He has discovered in Morocco a Spanish girl, who was kidnapped many years ago when a baby. After the recent kidnapping of two little French girls the newspapers recalled a similar affair, when a Spanish baby, named Julia Martinez, disappeared from Kenitra. Her mother died of a broken heart, and her father, after spending his whole fortune in searching for her, had to begin life over again.
The girl has been found in the Gharb district, and she is the mo thor of a family. She remembers nothing of her father and mothei, and her recollections of her early days are associated with an Aiab family with whom she lived from her childhood. She was brought up under the Mohammedan name of Aicha Aler, with " four Arab gilds whom she knew as her sisters.
Her husband is a Spanish ma--son, working in Souk-el-Arba, neai Gharb. He states that some Arabs told him that she was kidnapped and placed in the custody of an Arab family by a native who said he had bought her for 1,000 francs. Inquiries showed that this native had been a. servant to her parents, and that he had a grudge against them and wished to be revenged.
