PRISONER MAKES STATEMENT Christchurch, May 12. John William McClure was today remanded to appear at Palmerston North on a charge ■of breaking and entering a school in Feilding in 1919. The police said McClure was yesterday admitted to probation by the Supreme Court on theft charges. In the evening he asked to be allowed to clear up a lot more and made a statement. On leaving the dock McClure said: “I am not as mad as they think.”
