CAMP CONCERT
A concert party, organised by the Rev. W. H. Nicholas, visited the Mounted Rifles Camp on Thursday evening and gave a much appreciated concert. Items were contributed by Mrs. L. Bullard, Miss Patterson, Messrs Barron, Tongs and Nicholas, supplemented by instrumental and elocutionary items by two of the officers..
During the evening Colonel Armstrong presented the Hunterville Cup to No. 1 troop C. Squadron, and No 1 troop B Squadron who tied for the trophy with 04 points each out of a possible 101). Each troop is to hold the trophy for six months. Q.M.S. Jones was presented with his rifleman’s badge as champion company rifleman. Captain Stewart thanked the visitors for the excellent programme, after which supper was handed round.
