CAMP NOTES.

The Mounted Rifles camp, on the racecourse, was thrown open to the public on Sunday afternoon, but owing to the inclement weather, there was not a large attendance of the public This afternoon, a similar invitation is extended to the public. • On Thursday afternoon the camp will be inspected by General Young. The Y.MjC.A. is to be congratulated on the manner in which it has made provision for the enjoyment, ' entertainment, and edification of the men in camp. A large marquee has been erected and the men have the use of the social hall as well. Games and literature are there for the using. There is also a radio set, and in addition to this there is a moving picture machine. Performances of a very high order are being arranged, and the men are exceedingly appreciative of the efforts of this fine organisation. Sunday night a song service was conducted, the songs being placed upon the screen. A most hearty and pleasant service was the result. The Y.MJC.A. secretary has busied himself to the needs of the men, and may be seen mending, sewing badges and buttons on, attending to the needs of the sick and generally serving the men both spiritually, mentally and morally, and we congratulate the 'secretary on the splendid show they have made during this camp. The Rev. Mi*. Nicholas x and a party of local talent are sending a first-class programme in the Y.M.C.A. social room to-night (Tuesday), at the camp which will no doubt add considerably to the men’s profit and pleasure.
