LECKIE OUTPOINTS GILLESPIE. Dunedin, Last Night. About 5000 people witnessed the contest between Johnny Leekie (feather champion of New Zealand) and Gillespie (feather champion of Australia) in the Drill Hall last night. The bout went the full 15 rounds and Leekie won by a small margin of points. The fight is recognised as one of the best ever seen in Dunedin. Gate receipts totalled £7OO.
