FOOTBALL.
A committee meeting of the Foxton Rugby Football Club was held in Walls’ Rooms last Thursday evening, when there was present Messrs 11. Hutchins (in the chair, R. Cochrane, E. Fuller, C. Proctor, iC. 'Rand, A. Walls, W. Currie and the secretary (Mr R. Ilornblow). Several donations were received from local residents.
The Kia Toa Club wrote asking •if the Foxton Juniors or Thirds would be prepared to meet that Club in a friendly match at Palmerston N. next Saturday.—Referred to the teams. '
The Iluia ’Club also wrote stating that it would not be possible for them to meet the local club until after local fixtures had commenced. —Received. A communication was received from Oruoa Downs asking thqt the Foxton Club Seniors me'et Oroua Downs at Oroua Downs next Saturdav.—^Accepted. It was decided that the President attend the meeting of the 'Council in Levin to-night. Accounts were passed for. payment and routine business carried out.
