AUCKLAND TO CHRISTCHURCH.

IN “MOTH” ’PLANE. Blenheim, March 28. The Moth aeroplane with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mil, of Auckland, aboard arrived over Blenheim at 2.15 p.m. The airman was unable to locate the aerodrome, and landed on the racecourse to ask for directions. He then flew off in another endeavour to And the ’drome, but was again unsuccessful, and as fuel was short he returned to the racecourse. Here the machine was ultimately refilled. By this time it was 3.30, and Mr. Mill decided, as he would be late in reaching Christchurch, to wait in Blenheim all night, resuming the trip to-morrow. He subsequently flew the machine from the rarecourse to the aerodrome.
