COMMANDER FRANCESCO DE PINEDO.
ANOTHER. STEADY USER OF CASTROL. In the list of great men, who have placed their faith in Wakefield’s Castrol Motor Oil, one of the most important is the famous Italian, Commander Francesco de Pinedo. This intrepid airman, before starting on his hazardous four continent flight, insisted, that he would not attempt it on any other r lubricant than Wakefield’s Castrol. His flight took him over the central American tropical region'which is fraught with terrific dangers. In spite of the blistering, searing heat encountered, de Pinedo’s engines, lubricated by the undefeatable film of Castrol, functioned to perfection.
The majority of the spectacular and successful flights of recent years have been made by machines lubricated with Wakeleld’s Castrol Motor Oil. De Pinedo, of course, has been a user for many years. Another famous user is Sir Alan Cobham, who uses. Castrol exclusively, and who has used nothing but Castrol ever, since he began his great series of. record-breaking flights. Another great user is Ranold Amundsen, who used Castrol in his Polar flight. Captain Pelletier D’Oisy used Castrol on his Paris to Tokio flight. The list of aerial successes is,almost without end. Major * Seagrave, famous racing driver, is another who pins his faith and stakes his life on Castrol. Captain Malcolm Campbell, who held the world’s record until it was broken by Seagrave flatly refuses to use any other motor oil. It is also significant that ninty-nine out of every hundred races, both for speed and reliability, are won On Castrol Motor Oil.
