FARMER KILLED.
WHILE WORKING WITH tractor. Carterton, Last Night. A tragic happening occurred at Park vale this afternoon. Samuel M’Govern, a farmer, aged 45, while engaged working his fields with a motor tractor, attempted to cross a drain when the tractor reared up and fell backwards, pinning him beneath. The body was badly crushed and death was almost instantaneous. Deceased leaves a widow and •young family of four.
