DAYLIGHT SAVING.
MORE OBJECTIONS. At a meeting of the Manawatu and West Coast Dairy Companies’ Association in Pajlmerston North on Thursday, a letter from the Shannon Co-operative Dairy Company yms received asking that the meeting endorse a resolution passed by them to the effect that “the abomination of daylight saving be abolished.” 'Considerable discussion arose on the question contained in the letter, and eventually the following 'resolution was carried: “That this association, representing 28 dairy companies, records its objection to daylight saving as ‘being incompatible with farming operations, and urges all members of Parliament to oppose strenuously the re-enact-ment of the measure.”
