WELLINGTON ARTILLERY BAND
TO ARRIVE ON THE 10th. The Wellington Artillery Band (under Capt. Herd) Avill accompany the Welington battery Avhich is to come into camp on the 10th inst. During their stay in Foxton the Band will give one on tAVo concerts. It may be mentioned that Capt. Geo. Buckley, conductor of the Queen Alexander’s OAA r n Band (Wanganui) and Avinner of the recent A grade, championship and Mr C. A. Forrest, conductor of the Wellington Central Mission Band, Avhich Avon the B. grade quickstep competition and B grade selections contest, Avere for many years members of the old Wellington Garrison Band conducted by Capt. Herd. The local and district public can look fonvard io a real musical treat during the Wellington Garrison Band’s stay in Foxton.
The Palmerston N. battery, Avhich has been encamped on the racecourse this Aveek, broke camp today and Avere replaced by the other Palmerston N. battery.
