TOWN HALL. Three animals, a horse, a dog and a mule, that display a remarkable intelligence in the difficult and entertaining tricks they perform, appear in “The Boob,” the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer comedy to be screened at the Town Hall on Friday. Featured in this excellent production are Gertrude Olmsted, George K. Arthur, Joan Crawford, and Charlie Murray, under the direction of William Wellman. The action of this whimsical story of youth centres around a modern Don Quixote, who sets out on an ancient horse to seek adventure. The hilarious whirl into which he plunges almost immediately, provides excellent entertainment. Also “Yale v. Harvard” (comedy), and News. Usual prices. The story was written by Buck Jones, who appears in the stellar role and is based on his own experiences while serving in France. Usual prices.
ROYAL. “7th HEAVEN.” GREAT FILM TO HAVE LOCAL SHOWING. The management of the Royal Theatre have secured the “7th Heaven,” Fox Films epic picture version of the play by Austin Strong, for screening next Saturday. This picture has been creating a sensation and playing to capacity houses all over the country and is considered one of the finest productions of the year. Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell arc featured at the head of an all-star cast which includes Gladys Broekwell, Albert Gran, David Butler, George Stone, Emile Chautard, Marie Mosquini, Ben Bard and Brandon Hurst.
