FAILURE TO ACCOUNT.
COUNTY COUNCIL FUNDS.
Waipukurau, February 15, In the Magistrate’s Court this morning Horace Radvers Maddaford, formerly assistant clerk in the office of the Patangata County Council, was charged with fraudulently omitting to account for sums totalling £722 15/7, thereby committing theft. Accused pleaded-guilty, and was committed for trial at the Supreme Court at Napier. Bail was granted in the sum of £SOO.
