(To the Editor)
Sir,— May I suggest, through your paper, to the Borough Council, that Foxton business people are losing a fair amount of cash trade by the ill-conceived approach to the town which diverts through motor traffic along a back street. If the northern approach was widened and tar sealed to near the railway crossing cars would naturally follow on and down Park Street instead of Russell and Johnston Streets. 1 know of many people travelling who have passed through and made Levin their stopping place for meals and a few purchases, because the local byroad diverts them from the town. Some attention might also be given to the southern approach. This matter is worthy of consideration by the local authority who with a little expenditure could help to make the town more prosperous. Yours, etc., PROGRESS.
