RACING.
Fine weather favoured the Pahiatua Racing Club’s annual meeting, and the attendance on both days was good. The sum handled by the totalisator was £17,921, compared with £24,056 last year. At the Hawera meeting on Thursday, J. Proctor, the local horseman, steered Mr. F. Ehrhorn’s Nucleus to victory in the Oliawe Hurdles. WOODVILLE RACES. Nomination for all events (including Maiden Stakes and Novice Plate) in connection with the Woodville Races, to be held on Friday and Saturday, 24th and 25th February, close with the Secretary at 9 p.m. on Friday, February 10th, 1928.
The Woodville Cup carries with it a Gold Cup (value £100), donated by W. 11. Gaisford, Esq.
