Aq interesting experiment was tried successfully at a meeting held in connection with the Leeds South Ward by-election when the three rival candidates appeared on the same platform and spoke in turn under the same time limit. ' At the Levin Sports meeting, held on Wednesday, E. Cunninghame, of Foxton, annexed the long jump with a handicap of 18 inches, covering 19ft. bin. In the hop, step and jump, Cunninghame (3ft. Gin) secured 2nd place with 39ft. 4in. J. Chrystall represented Foxton in the cycling events and was successful in winning his heat in the one mile B grade race with a handicap of 80 yarls.«s Time 2.22 2-5. In the final he was unsuccessful.
