ASTOUNDING BANKRUPTCY CASE.
Ashburton, Last Night. Debts amounting to £20,688, all unsecured, with assets amounting to only £IOO are features of the bankruptcy of a Methven farmer, named Robert Wallace Wightman. Bankrupt said he had a surplus of £17,000 three years ago, and seven years ago he had £52,000 to his credit. Mortgages on properties, of which fell back to the various mortgagees, totalled £68,000.
