G. SWAINSON, Secretary. LAND AND INCOME TAX (ANNUAL) ACT, 1927. INCOME-TAX PAYABLE. By Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the Govern-or-General in Council on the 2(itli day of September, 1927, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of Income tax, leviable under section 3 of the said Act, should be paid in one sum on Thursday, the 9th day of February, 1928, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government Buildings, Wellington; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before Ist March, 1928. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues; any overpayment will be adjusted by refund. The demands will be posted from the office of the Commisioner of Taxes on or about 31st January, 1928. Demands must be presented with all payments, and taxpayers who expect a demand and d° u °t receive one should notify me of the fact. A. E. FOWILER, Commissioner of Taxes.
