LON OIIANEY IN “THE UNKNOWN”

Another special Lon picture is due to be shown at the ToAvn Hall to-night. In this one, “The UnknoAvn,” a Metro-GoldAvyn Mayer special production,. Chaney is said to give the performance of liis career. The theme of the picture centres around the lives of the members of a circus troupe, of which Lon Chaney as the “Armless Wonder,” is the star performer, with Norman Kerry as the ‘strong man,’ and charming Joan 'Crawford as the proprietor’s daughter. These three distinguished favourites provide the tense drama, mystery, deep sacrifice and romance with Avhich this gripping production abounds. Tod BroAvning directed. As an added attraction the vaudeville turn of Cohen, comedy cartoonist; and Veerna, soubrefcte. will be presented. With supporting films this bumper programme is offered at usual prices.

“The Monkey Talks,” Fox Films screen version of the sensational stage play which took London, Paris and New York by storm will have a shoAving on Monday. Jacques Lerner, the original impersonator ,of the “Monkey,” appears in the screen version. Usual prices.
