MANAWATU FLAXMILLERS’ ASSOCIATION.

At the conclusion of business tho executive of the Manawatu Flaxmillers’ Association, held in Foxton on Tuesday, members conferred ■with Messrs W. Petrie (Chief Hemp grader) and Cockayne (Director of Fields Division, Departmtnt of Agriculture), and Assistant Graders Petersen and Dnrvidge (of Wellington), and the local grader (Mr. Webb). The Department submitted sample hanks of fibre for the ensuing year, which were carefully examined and fully discussed. The Association accepted the samples and on resuming business a resolution was empower-' iug the President and Mr. J. S. Moir to make arrangements for the storage of the samples and to submit regulations governing the exhibition of same to the next meeting of the executive.
