ALL BLACKS’ AFRICAN TOUR.
COMPARISON OF STRENGTH. RULES AND REFEREEING• Wellington, Friday. A well-known Rugby enthusiast in Capetown, in writing to a friend in Wellington on the subject of the approaching visit of the All Blacks to South Africa, says: “We are all delighted to know that the team is so strong. Some of o'ur experts predict that the All Blacks will win. The turning point will be the defence of the Springboks. “The forwards will be evenly balanced, but 1 fancy we will have the superiority at half. Your centre's, however, may gain the day. We are very much disappointed with our centres again. The All Blacks must realise that the refereeing is going to be absolutely strict. Your team must not get- down-hearted if the knock-on rule is inteirpreted with complete strictness. It will he all fair, but severe.”
