KINNEBERG FEATHERS,
' owin S the postponement of the Triangular match, Shannon Club asked that Foxton send two rinks to play for the Kinneberg Feathers, and the other to engage in friendly play.
In the match for the Feathers, Foxton experienced that adversity which has dogged' them frequently of late. The holders accumulated a considerable lead before Foxton opened their score, the board showing a series of blanks for Foxton, until the eleventh head, when their score was opened with a four. The most notable feature of the scores was a seven secured by Foxton on the nineteenth head. Shannon’s scores never exceeded more than two on any one head. The following are the rinks:—
Blackman,' E. Butt, Knowles,' Whibley (s) 26 v. ‘Heyes, Walker, Woods, Nye (s) 16. A further challenge has been put in by the following Foxton rink:— Walton, Woods, Nye, Heyes (s).
The friendly game played at Shannon resulted in.a win for the visitors, the details'being:—Easton, Parkin, Warwick, Walton (s) 20 v. Columbus, Lowe, Mason, Shannon (s) 14.
