MANAWATU HERD TESTING ASSOCIATION.

The monthly meeting of the Manawatu Herd Testing Association was held on Wednesday, Mr. W. 11. Gimblett occupying the chair. There was also present: Messrs R. W. Evans, R. 6. Dalziell, F. J. Legg, W. E. Thomas, F. Woods, W. S. Fell . The Shannon Co-op. Dairy Co. Ltd., wrote that at the monthly meeting of the company the directors had passed a resolution to the effect that the company subsidise 6d per cow for all suppliers testing under a scheme for herd testing recognised by the Government. Mr. J. Linklaiter, M.P., advised that he had received the Association’s letter asking for exemption from the petrol tax in regard to the testing offiicer’s car and he had forwarded the same to the Minister concerned.
