>rr.s lan Ross entertained members and friends of the Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild at a very pleasant afternoon on Thursday. An original eonipetition was joined in by all with much interest and was won by Mrs Barron. Regret was expressed at the indisposition of Mrs R.ough and the hope was expressed ' that she would speedily recover from her illness. Motions of sympathy were also passed to the President (Mrs Nicholas) and Mrs Satherley and family in their recent bereavements, the motions being carried in the usual manner, all present standing in silence for a few moments.
