CONCERT AND DANCE AT

MOTUITI.

The eoncei’t and dance held at Motuiti on Thursday evening in aid of the meeting house was a decided success. The concert programme submitted was much appreciated. Ruben Takorua had to respond to repeated encores for his comic dancing. At the conclusion of the concert a tasty supper was dispensed when some 150 people yjare catered for. Later dancing jjm indulged in when fifty couples vouk the floor. The spot waltzing competition was won by Mrs. Reihana and Mi*. J. Kauri, the second prize being annexed by Miss Andrews and Mr. E. Bryant. Mi*. M. Karehana made a very capable M.C. The committee desire to thank Mr. J. Desmond for generously donating the prizes.
