BURIED ON WEDIDING DAY.

GRAVE INSTEAD OF ALTAR. Miss Patty Beer was to have been married recently at Slough to Mr. James Holman. Instead, she was buried on what wa sto be her wedding day in the parish churchyard by the Rev 11. J. Waters, who was to have performed the wedding ceremony. One of the principal mourners was the man who had hoped to lead his bride to the altar. Miss Beer, who was 22, was operated upon for appendicitis. At first she made good progress, but septic pleurisy intervened, and she died. A large number of sympathising friends was present at the ceremony, and among the floral tributes was one of lilies, carnations, and chrysanthemums, inscribed simply, “In loving memory, from Jimmie.”
