SOLDIERS’ DAY.
The Returned Soldiers local committee are to-day making an effort to raise funds to improve the local memorial to their fallen comrades and to provide a Christmas re-un-ion for their children and wives. The town is enlivened by the effort which includes a shop day, procession of gaily dressed male and fe- • male minstrels conveyed in lorries, , a mock court and other amusing turns. That the result will reach the financial objective aimed at by the committee, goes without saying..
