BOWLING.
DIXON CUP GOES TO LEVIN. A rink of bowlers from Levin, Messrs Puhau, W. Bull, P. Clements and Holdaway, visited Podding on Saturday' last to try conclusions with the holders of the Dixon Cup, and were successful in wresting the trophy from the Feilding players by the margin of one point. TRIANGULAR CONTEST ON WEDNESDAY. The second round of the Triangular contest will be played on the Fox ton green on Wednesday next, when two rinks from Shannon and two from Levin will compete against four local rinks. A special endeavour will be made to put the local green in contest condition for the Triangular fixture, and given suitable weather, the gathering- will be a very enjoyable one. Bowlers and croquet players are advised that they should bring a basket on Wednesday next to assist with the catering arrangements. The rinks to represent Fox ton Club were published in Thursday's issue. 5
