“THE TELEPHONE GIRL,” “The Telephone Girl,” Paramount’s version of William C. Dc Mille’s stage success ‘The Woman,’ reaches the Hall Cabaret on Wednesday. Herbert Brenon, a man who knows directing as do few others, won the enviable task of bringing the play to cinema audiences. Holbrook Blinn, Madge Bellamy, Warner Baxter, May Allison and Lawrence Gray are featured. The story is a tale of politics. It tells how one man almost attained the heights, was about to be forced down, and then, through the artifice of a young telephone girl, finally triumphed. All this is said to be told with infinite artistry and dramatic intensity. .Cabaret prices. The big stage success “The Music Master” has been pieturised by Fox, with Alec Francis in the title role, and will head Friday’s programme. Described as the biggest laugh, yet the feature “Rookies,” has been booked for Saturday next. Karl Dane remembered as “Slim” in “The Big Parade” plays the lead. Usual prices.
