PERSONAL.
Mrs. Nicholas leaves for Christchurch early next week to attend the Presbyterian Women’s Mission Union Conference, as the local delegate. Mr. T. Stockwell is at present spending a holiday at the local seaside with his mother and sister, Mrs. and Miss. Stockwell, of Palmerston North. “Tom” is at present home on furlough from Madras, India, where he is engaged in the tea planting industry. Mr. G. Henderson, of Wellington, and one-time resident of Foxton, is at present paying a visit to Foxton, where he is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Heath. Mr. Henderson is still suffering from the effects of injuries received in an accident on the Wellington wharf some months ago, but hopes to be able to resume work next month. The death took place at the Palmerston Hospital this morning of Mr. Alfred Howe, a Foxton resident, aged 58 years. Deceased, who resided with his aunt, Mrs France, of Coley Street, prior to entering the Hospital, was an invalid for some years. The interment will take place at Foxton on Monday, the funeral leaving/ the Preibyterian Church at 2 p.m.
