FOXTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Foxton District High School Committee was held in the Secretary’s office last night, and was presided over by Mr. J. K. Hornblow (chairman). Also present were: —-Messrs A. Stevenson, S. E. Cowley, A. Alsop, A. G. Huntley, John Ross, IT. Hutchins, and the secretary (Mr. Roore Rangiheuea). Mr. F. A. Mason (headmaster), was also in attendance. Correspondence was read and ‘dealt with from Education Board. Accounts amounting to £25 12s (id, were passed for payment. Resolved to leave the matter of extra playing area in the hands of the chairman, secretary and headmaster for further report. It was decided to divide the Bock Memorial, Prize equally between the primary and the secondary departments for the “dux” hoy and girl. Resolved to leave the matter of arranging particulars for two Honours Boards—one for the primary and one for the secondary, in the hands of the chairman, secretary, and headmaster for action. It was decided to recommend the Board to provide one slab to perpetuate the donors of the secondary school site and one hearing the names of Minister of Education, Board Officials, and Committees.
