SUMMER TIME STARTS 2 A.M. TO-MORROW.
The following is an extract from the New Zealand Gazette concerning Summertime. “It is hereby notified for general information that under the Summertime Act, 1927, summertime commences at 2 o’clock next the 6th inst., and ends at 2 o’clock on the morniffg of Sunday, the fourth day of March, 1928. . “For the purpose of giving effect to the Act the time will therefore be advanced one hour as from 2 a.m. to-morrow, and put back one hour as from 2 a.m. on Sunday, the 4th day of March, 1928. ('Sgd.) J. G. Coates, Prime Minister.” Some people no doubt will forget to advance their clocks to-night (says the Dominion.), j Human nature is not a pliable subject for regimentation. But for those who do forget, the •experience will probably be as interesting in its way as for those who remember. To the forgetful ones the times will indeed be out of joint. They will rise to find that the; world has mysteriously left them behind.
