These include: The Breeches Bible, in which the word breeches is substituted for oprons in Genesis iii., 7; Bugges Bible, 1551, bugges for terror, Psalm xci. 5; Treacle Bible, 1568, treacle for balm, Jeremiah viii., 22; Rosin Bible, 1609, rosin for balm; Placemakers Bible, 1562, plaeemakers for peacemakers, Matthews v., 9; He and She Bibles, 1611, errors in the renderings of Ruth iii., 15; Wicked Bible, 1631, the word “not” left out of the 7th 'Commandment. Ex. xx., 14; another Wicked Bible, 1656, in which the “not” is omitted from ; Co. 1., vi., 9; Vinegar Bible, Murder- ’ ers’ Bible, 1801, murderers for m.ur- , murers, Jude 16; Camels Bible, 1823, camels for damsels, Gen. xxiv., 61; Ears to Ear Bible, 1810, ear for hear, Matt, xiii., 43; Standing Fishes Bible, 1806, fishes for fishers, Ezek. xivii., In; Wife Hater Bible, 1810, “wife” instead of “life,” Luke xiv., 26.
