Owing to the season being so advanced, it was decided by the above committee to bring forward the date of the show to November 17th. There are several new features' this time “that ought to appeal to ex'hibitors. For rose-growers, there is the trophy presented by Mr. Hepner, value £5 ss, to he won three times, while the sweat pea enthusiasts have Miss. Hughes’ trophy, to be won outright at this show. For those who specialise in general flowers, Mr. W. Ross’s special prize of £1 Is for the best collection of cut blooms offers an opportunity to show what Foxton can grow. The cooking section has been divided and a points prize will be given in each section, while three special prizes will be given for rich fruit cake 10/6, iced cake 7/6, and plum pudding 10/6. Schedules will be widely distributed which should create increased entries and interest.
