MAORI GIRLS’ COLLEGE.
Marton, Yesterday. In the presence of a large gathering of Presbyterian clergy, the Gov-ernor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) yesterday laid the foundationstone of the Maori Girls’ College at Marton, which is replacing the present old building at Turakina. The Governor later attended the Masonic lodge, and departed last night for the North.
