AGREEMENT REACHED. DRAINAGE BOARD CLASSIFICATION. R ATEPAYERS’ OBJECTIONS. When the magisterial hearing of the objections by ratepayers in the Makerua Drainage Board’s district against the proposal of the board to re-classily its lands was resinned this morning, Mr limes, who appeared for the board, intimated that an agreement had been reached in respect of ten of the objections. , Substantially, stated Mr Myers, who appeared for the particular ratepayers concerned, the agreed-on valuations were the same as in the old classification, with the exception of some small portions of Classes C and A, which would be placed in B section. The Magistrate (Mr J. L. Stout) adjourned the hearing of the further objections (eight in all) until to-morrow morning to sec if agreements could not be reached in these cases also. The agreements reached this morning were in respect of the properties of the following: Hugh Akers, Arthur Akers, Herman Seifert, William Ross, Poplar Flaxmilling Company, Rangitane Farm Company, V. Buglass, S. It. i. Young, W. Jackson, and the Tenuikanui Flaxmilling Company, Ltd.
