Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Perrcau (Mayor and Mayoress), leave for Auckland to-day where they will spend a brief holiday. Mrs. Stanley, of the local D.H. School stall', will resume duty on Tuesday, after her recent indisposition.

Mr. and Mrs. Poole and Miss Poole returned to Foxton on Thursday evening, after a six months tour of England and the Continent. Mr. Poole resumed duty at the Bank today.

Mrs. Brian Seed, youngest daughter of Mr. Tom L. Mills, editor of the “Feilding Star,” passed away in Wellington late on Thursday afternoon, after a very short illness. She leaves a 16-months-old son. Prior to her marriage Mrs. Seed was on the teaching staff of Lytton Street School, Feilding. Only three months ago Mr. and Mrs. Mills lost their only son, Mr. TVflliam A. Mills, subaccountant of the Bank of Australasia, Auckland.

The Rev. W. 0. Robb, at a great gathering of Presbyterians and other friends on the occasion of his retirement from the ministry of St. Andrew’s Church, Blenheim, after 45 years’ pastorate, was presented with a cheque for £333, and Mrs. Robb with a silver entree dish (says the Marlborough_News). Much enthusiasm was shown on all hands, and regrets were expressed at the loss the congregation would suffer at the severance of relations.
